If you use Asana as part of a team in any way and you want an easy way to see the tasks of your team members, this post is for you. You can either watch the video here or keep reading below:
Finding Your Team Members in Asana
First, you need to open Asana. Once you're there, click on the "Home" button. You'll find a tab at the bottom labeled "People." This is where all your team members are listed.
Viewing a Team Member's Tasks
To view a team member's tasks, simply click on their name. You'll see all of the tasks assigned to that team member. If you want to see more tasks, you can click "Show More." You can also check due dates.
In a larger team with multiple members, tasks may be assigned by various people – the CEO, the online business manager, other team members, or even themselves. To see which tasks you assigned to the person, click “Assigned by you.” This way, you can easily differentiate the tasks you've assigned to the team member. This feature is helpful when you need to follow up on a task that you've assigned.
You can also see any tasks that you and this team member are collaborating on together by clicking “Collaborating with you.”
Star Your Team Members for Quick Access
If you frequently access your team member's task lists or plan to do so, I have a helpful tip for you. Instead of navigating through the "Home" page every time, you can click the star icon next to a team member's name. This action will add them to your "Starred" list, located on the left sidebar of your Asana. This way, you can access their tasks from anywhere within Asana quickly.
There you have it - a quick and efficient way to manage your team members' tasks and stay on top of deadlines using Asana. This feature is incredibly useful for those working in teams, making collaboration more streamlined and effective.
