Imagine this scenario: you've set up the perfect workflow for a task or project, completed it successfully, and then forgot all about it. When you revisit the same task in the future, you're forced to start from scratch. Well, let me tell you, there's a better way. Don't redo work—make it a template! Templates have been a complete game-changer for me, and I have several of them set up in Asana.

With templates, I always know exactly what to do when starting a new project or dealing with recurring tasks. I've utilized templates for various workflows, including course creation and client management. Instead of recreating the process each time, I simply duplicate my previous work, saving both time and mental energy. And here's the best part—you don't even need to pay for the Asana plan to use templates. Let me show you how.

Project Templates:

To create project templates in Asana, follow these steps. Suppose you have an SOP bank as an example, which you can duplicate to preserve all the moving pieces of a project. Click on the duplicate button and customize the new project as needed—changing titles, removing tags, task descriptions, or subtasks. Finally, hit "create new project," and voila! You have a new project ready to go. It's a time-saver!

Alternatively, if you want to share templates with someone else or import existing templates, click on the arrow, select "export," and save it as a CSV file. You can then import the template into Asana using the "import from spreadsheet" option. Easy peasy!

Task Templates:

Task templates in Asana can also significantly boost your productivity. Suppose you have an SOP template that you frequently use. Simply right-click on it, select "duplicate task," and give it a new title. Customize any details you want and hit "create new task." Voila! Your new task is ready to be organized and slotted into the appropriate project.

The beauty of templates is that they save you from redoing work. A template stores all the necessary tasks, allowing you to effortlessly replicate your successful workflows. Trust me, once you start using templates in your business, you'll never look back. They are game-changers!

In addition to the step-by-step tutorial I've just shared, I have a free checklist available for you to optimize your Asana experience. Also, keep an eye out for my upcoming templates on my website.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope this post has convinced you to embrace templates and duplicate your previously successful work. It will save you an incredible amount of time and energy. Stay tuned for more exciting content coming your way next week. Until then, take care and keep rocking your online business!
