Best Tools for Content Creators to make it Fast & Easy!

If you're not taking advantage of technology to help you create content for YouTube or wherever you post, you're really missing out. Today, I'm going to go over my top 3 tools that I live by for content creation and honestly so much more. But, I'll go over why they are essential to my content creation process so you can decide if they're right for you too.

You can either keep reading or watch the video below:

Asana

Asana is where I store and organize my content ideas, track the creation process, delegate tasks, and plan what and when to post. It also makes collaboration super easy and efficient if you have a team helping you with your content creation process.

I use a combination of the board and calendar views. That's a great thing about Asana is it offers so many levels of customization so you can really use it the way that works for your unique brain. We all think and work differently. Asana recognizes this and has many ways of setting up or doing the same things so that you can use the way that works best for you.

It's the ultimate task and project management system, in my opinion.

I also have templates in Asana for my content system and workflows, so that I'm not starting from scratch every time. There's a lot that goes into each YouTube video, so Asana saves me so much time by keeping this list that I can use over and over again instead of having to remember every little task that needs to be done.

Asana is easy to learn. You can just hop in and start using it without having to jump through hoops to learn how to use it.

So much is included in the free version and I've made it my specialty to help you optimize the free version.

If you want to start using Asana or need help setting up your systems so you can work more efficiently, click here to either grab my premade templates or get my custom one-on-one support.

You can also browse through my YouTube channel where I have a bunch of Asana videos up.

Asana has truly been a game-changer in my and my clients' businesses. It has transformed the way that we work.

Veed

Veed replaces Loom, Async, and professional video editors, which I previously used as part of my content creation process

I actually just recently switched to Veed from Loom and Async, and I'm glad I did. I know Loom is the popular choice among online business owners, but personally, I experienced tons of technical difficulties with it and didn't find support to be all that helpful. So, if that's you too, but all you see is everyone talking about Loom, know that there are other options available! Veed being one of them.

Veed actually offers a lot more than Loom and Async combined. You can record on your camera and upload to Veed. You can combine multiple videos together, as well as add any stock videos or images right from Veed. If you forgot something or need to add something into a video you're working on, Veed makes it super easy to just go record something while you're editing and add it into the project.

There are so many features when it comes to editing with Veed and it's really user-friendly. I am far from a professional video editor and so if I can use it, so can you. It's made it really easy for me to start editing my own videos.

Some of my favourite features in the editor are:

  • voice over

  • stock videos you can just add in by dragging and dropping

  • you can add subtitles and text

  • and there's so much more

They also do have an AI feature where it's supposed to get rid of gaps and filler words, but I tried it and honestly wasn't that impressed with the result, so I wouldn't count on that if that's important for you. There are other programs that do this better, from my experience. But Veed wins overall for what I'm looking for.

If you're also using Veed to create content for social media, you can use their templates here, you can also resize your video which makes repurposing super quick and easy.

If you want to try Veed, click here to try it for free. I appreciate you using my link and supporting mye. It allows me to continue providing more free resources like this post for you.

Canva

Canva is another essential tool for my YouTube content creation process. I use it to create my thumbnails and it makes it so easy.

They have a bunch of features and templates. You can just type "YouTube thumbnail" into the search bar and it will bring up a bunch of templates for you to use and customize.

If you click on one, it brings it up and you can change anything you want to. You can change the colours, the image, the font, the size of anything.

There are tons of stock images and graphics you can use.

I love the photo editor too. You can remove the background or grab yourself to make the image separate from the background. You can outline yourself so that it really looks like you're popping out. You can magic erase anything you don't want on the photo - I use it to remove my microphone from my YouTube thumbnails. And so much more.

Canva is completely necessary if you do any kind of graphic creation for your biz!

When I tell you that I used to waste hours on other programs trying to figure them out...save your time and sign up for Canva. The learning curve is so much less than others. It's super user-friendly and great for people who aren't professional graphic designers.

There is a free version you can use, but I think it is definitely worth it to get pro version - I've had it for years and have no plans to stop!
