Asana Client Management for Virtual Service Providers
Are you looking for an efficient and streamlined way of managing your clients? I gotchu!
If you're starting from scratch, make sure to watch last week's video for all the details on how I set up a new client in Asana.
In this post, I'm going to go over how I use Asana with my clients and what the day-to-day looks like using the free version of Asana. You can either watch the video here or keep reading below:
If you are using your account for the back-end management of your clients and you are actively working on their projects within your clients' separate accounts, that is what I currently do with my clients.
I organize my clients into separate projects. This is where I store any of my admin tasks, reminders, notes, etc. All the back-end things that pertain to the management of my clients.
And then my clients add me as a guest to their accounts, so I access my clients' accounts in separate tabs.
Asana just introduced this tabs feature, which is awesome. Before, you had to have a different window open for each account, which can add up if you are going back and forth between several clients throughout the day. So, I love this feature and think it's much more efficient. You can still open things in separate windows, though, if you need to see two things side by side.
Throughout the day I can toggle back and forth between different clients and my own business tasks.
So, I usually start in my own account and look over the tasks that need to get done in my business and just have an overview of what that looks like for the day. Then, when it's time for my client work, I switch over to their account. If you want to see how I time block and manage my tasks in my complete productivity system, click here.
In their account, I can see the tasks I need to complete for anything happening in their business. I can check in on projects in their business, check in on other team members' tasks, and all the things. In their account is where I see anything I need to take care of within their business.
And then I go to the next client, and so on. Depending how my day is laid out.
So, that is how I manage my client work and what the day-to-day looks like as a service provider managing clients in Asana.
